Welcome to the homepage of an animal health research project of the European Commission!

The goal of this project was the development, standardisation and harmonisation of novel multiplex molecular diagnostic methods for the detection of eight important viruses of swine. The work was performed in collaboration of six European laboratories. The expected achievements will result in the adaptation of current diagnostics to new demands in terms of quality, costs and speed. Effective novel diagnostics in virology will improve the health and welfare conditions of farm animals.
